Affiliated with ICMPD (International Centre for Migration Policy Development) and a participant in the Budapest Process, MRC BD operates under the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment (MEWOE). Who We Are:
- ICMPD: A key partner, ICMPD is an international organization with 18 member states, dedicated to promoting efficient cooperation and partnerships along migration routes. Their three-pronged approach involves capacity building, migration dialogues, and research.

- Vision: MRC BD aspires to be a one-stop information and referral hub promoting safe, regular, orderly, and responsible migration for the welfare and protection of migrants and their families in Bangladesh.
- Mission: By 2021, MRC BD aims to be a fully functional, effective, responsive, reliable, and trusted information provider, offering accurate advice to at least 30,000 aspiring migrants and their families annually.
- Functions: MRC BD focuses on seven priority functions, serving as a one-stop information hub, acting as a referral platform, providing counseling, developing educational materials, conducting research, engaging with stakeholders, and ensuring regular monitoring and evaluation.
