As part of the MUIJIB YEAR celebration, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Ankara, in collaboration with the Çhankaya Municipality, organized a 4-day photo exhibition titled ‘Bangabandhu and the Story of Bangladesh.’ The event, held at Zülfü Livanelli Kültür Merkezı, Çhankaya, was inaugurated on August 12 by Bangladesh Ambassador Mosud Mannan NDC, Deputy Mayor Gülsün Bor Güner, and Deputy Director General Umut Acar. Despite ongoing Covid-19 concerns, the opening saw a significant turnout of government representatives, journalists, cultural figures, academicians, and Turkish citizens.

The exhibition, showcasing around 100 photos of Bangabandhu and Bangladesh, aims to highlight the life, struggle, sacrifice, and achievements of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Ambassador Mosud Mannan NDC emphasized the exhibition’s significance in the Mujib Year, marking the birth centenary of Bangladesh’s Father of the Nation. He outlined Bangladesh’s remarkable progress in various fields under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s leadership, turning it into a recognized Development Puzzle and a Role Model of Development.

The ambassador expressed hope that the exhibition would deepen the understanding of Bangladesh and Bangabandhu among the Turkish citizens, fostering people-to-people connections. He thanked the Turkish authorities, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Çhankaya Municipality, for their support in hosting the event.
